Welcome to the Regional Medical Oncology Center website. My name is Keith Lerro. I have been practicing Oncology and Hematology in Wilson, NC since 2003. Regional Medical Oncology Center is committed to excellence in hematology and oncology care for people in our local community.
People diagnosed with cancer demand professional excellence. That is what we provide. People with cancer appreciate the intimacy and accessibility of a community cancer center. This is who we are. People with cancer demand to be treated with kindness and respect. This is what we do. Our providers are accessible for timely appointments, because this is what patients deserve. Regional Medical Oncology Center provides excellence and compassion in a convenient local setting. Our highly skilled staff is deeply committed to you and our local community.
We strive every day to meet the healthcare needs of our community. Our telephones are answered by real people, not a phone tree. We schedule appointments in a timely manner. We treat people with respect and compassion. We follow the highest standard of care, as outlined by the National Comprehensive Cancer Center. We listen to patients and caregivers. We strive to answer all questions. We do this because our community deserves the best.
We work closely with care partners at the Duke-LifePoint Hospital in Wilson and the Duke Cancer Network. Our partners help us provide excellent care, both in the office and in hospital settings. This team approach allows us to access clinical trials and complicated treatments not available in Wilson. We coordinate with Duke-LifePoint to maintain our local hospital as an ACOS recognized Community Cancer Center. We nurture ties with nearby centers such as Duke, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and ECU/Vidant. Cancer care is an interdisciplinary process requiring coordination between local cancer practices and larger cancer centers.
